On 2 November 2018, Mitsubishi Elevator (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. participated in the launch of the Vertical Transportation (VT) Work-Learn Technical Diploma (WLTD) by signing a MOU with ITE to grant scholarships for its students. This signing ceremony was graced by Mr. Ong Ye Kung, Minister of Education.

With this programme, industries will be able to ease the shortage of workers who are equipped with the relevant skills while ITE graduates have an upgrading pathway that will enable them to achieve a diploma and career progression.
