20th Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Awareness Week
Nov 07, 2022
The Safety Awareness Week started about 20 years ago and we are now in our 20th year. During our 20th Safety Awareness Week held from 7 to 11 November 2023, we reinforced awareness of the Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment aspects of our company to all employees, encouraging everyone to adopt these safety practices in their daily lives.
During our Managing Director Mr Hideyuki Mori’s opening speech on 7 November 2022, he emphasized Safety. He said that whether we work with machines, tools or in the office, he would like to promote a culture in that we shall uphold the safety and quality standards of Mitsubishi for all work processes not only for our customers but to ensure that we all shall go home safely at the end of each workday.
For the past years, we organized numerous events to improve safety awareness. This year we had activities such as Safety Talk, Talk and hands-on usage of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Health Screening for all employees. Following the onset of COVID-19 and resulting stressors, we organized a Talk entitled “Managing Difficult Emotions” as we also need to take care of our mental health and wellness.
We ended the week with a Brisk Walk at East Coast Park. Moving forward, we will continue with our efforts to promote safety awareness and practices among all employees.
